Hello everyone! I would just like to let you all know that I did arrive back home safe and sound.

That's good news for you! I have been doing only two things since I arrived home a few days ago - trying to get used to the big time change and working on 'things' for this site ;-)

Now, I can't dislose what exactly I've been doing quite yet...but very shortly you will know! I can tell you this though, it's going to be big.

Keep an eye out! I'm working day and night so that in just a little bit of time, you will be able to learn Korean better than ever. There will not be a single better way to learn Korean than what is coming....

See you around ;-)

Hello everyone! Unfortunately, my trip is coming to an end in less than 24 hours. It feels like I've been here for a long time - much longer than 28 days.

While it is unfortunate for me that the trip is coming to an end...it is quite fortunate for you! I will finally be returning and Learn Korean Language will be seeing some great changes soon.

You can finally hear all about my travels through South Korea. And even better - the new Learn Korean Language will be able to better improve YOUR Korean. That is the goal of the site, right?

Now I must prepare myself for 20 hours of flight...Talk to you from America!

Just Updating Everyone!

Hello everyone! I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't been able to update much.

I've been visiting many places and doing a lot of shopping (hey, prices are reasonable here!) I've been keeping track of everything that is going on here and will surely put it all on the site once I get back.

I've also taken pictures of everything along the way.

In an hour, we are leaving Seoul. It's time to travel to Daegu, the third largest city in the country. We will be spending about two weeks in Daegu, and then we will head off to a mini-vacation inside this vacation. We will swing by the beach and then return back to Seoul.

While in Daegu, I will have even more trouble getting to a computer (it's not that computers are hard to find here in South Korea...I've just been very busy!)

But don't worry, I've been keeping track of every step of the journey through South Korea.

Just thought I would update quickly while I had the chance!

Keep checking back at the site. And remember....

July will be a very satisfying month for Learn Korean Language. Be sure to check back then ;-)

Hello From South Korea!

Hello! I am now in South Korea everyone! I wish I could have brought each of you with me, but unfortunately I was unable to.

It's been pretty fun.

After 17 hours for a plane ride, I was pretty tired. Being on a plane for 12 hours straight can get a little dull.

We arrived around 6:00 pm (Korean time). We relaxed around the house we are staying at for the rest of the evening.

Today we are going to go downtown (dowtown Seoul) for a little bit and then swing by and see a movie.

Mission Impossible 3

Not what you thought, eh? We need to kill some time while part of our "group" goes to a Korean "oldies" concert, and we are not familiar enough with the area yet to go exploring on our own.

The weather here is pretty nice. It's not too cold and it's not too hot either.

~Anna here! (the girlfriend):

Russell should write more (he is not
very descriptive).

The air here seems to be hazy (at least the day and a half so far that we've been here). I asked if it was because of pollution or just cloudy weather, and it seems to be a bit of both.

So many cars in such a small country leads to plenty of smog.

The roads here are quite congested to us Americans, but to the Koreans, the traffic is an everyday thing (we thought the traffic was bad this morning, and my aunt stated that it was lighter than usual!).

This leads the drivers to be very aggressive, and to drive here, you need to be very good at maneuvering your vehicle into small spaces.

The people (my relatives) are very friendly. In the US, most hosts/hosting families would want to give you some privacy and leave you alone for a little bit--that is what's polite.

In Korea, the people are constantly trying to make you feel comfortable (they ask you if you need anything else to sleep comfortably, if you're hungry, if you are hot or cold, etc).

Last night, the relatives went to a restaurant to eat for dinner, and although Russell and I were really tired and WANTED to stay behind and get ready for bed, they continued to insist that we join them, because (to them) it would be rude to leave a guest behind.

Our trip has merely just begun, and I am sure that as we continue into our month in South Korea, Russell will have plenty more to write about!

New Shorter Feel Coming

I have realized lately that my lessons are written pretty long, putting a lot on one page. I have decided to shorten the pages wherever possible.

Don't worry :-) That does not mean the lessons will be less in-depth. I will simply divide them up into several different lessons. For example, I was supposed to be writing a page on Korean colors and adjectives.
Instead, I finished the page up with Korean colors (I do need to go back and add exercises to all lessons basically). I will add a new lesson on adjectives in the near future :-)

I think it will be better structured this way. I plan on going back over the lesson pages and making them much better and organized. And definitely adding in that homework and exercises that seems to be missing from many lessons.

The site hasn't seen much action lately, but brace yourself! Here it comes!
